Canden is the Executive Director, Human Resources for USAA’s PHX Campus. In this role she is responsible for driving the local HR strategy and delivery for the Phoenix market, focusing on the expansion of the Phoenix campus and the employee experience.
Canden joined USAA’s Phoenix campus in March 2001. During her 6 years in Phoenix, Canden had the opportunity to work on a team of recruiters; recruiting talented individuals to build the Phoenix facility from 10 to 2,500 employees over a 6 year timeframe.
In May 2007, Canden relocated to San Antonio as an Associate HR Business Partner supporting various areas across USAA’s specializing in call center operations and workplace flexibility initiatives. Canden recently relocated back to PHX in February, 2014 to lead the PHX campus workforce expansion with the primary objective to innovate leadership practices and create platforms for employees to connect and grow.
Canden has earned her Masters in Human Resources Management in 2005, SPHR and Human Capital Strategist designation and is currently pursuing her Executive MBA through ASU’s W.P. Carey School of Business.
Most importantly, Canden cherishes her family. She is a proud mother of 3, Parker (9); Emmy (6) and Easton (2).
