Kimulet (Kim) Winzer, JD is currently the West Region Compliance Director for UnitedHeathcare Community and State. Kimulet has worked within the AHCCCS arena for over 20 years. Her roles have included serving as administrative counsel for the agency (AHCCCS); Director of Legal and Regulatory Affairs (with primary responsibility for its grievance and appeals process) for Mercy Care Plan; and Chief Compliance Officer at Care1st Health Plan Arizona.
Kim has significant civic and community service to her credit as well. She has served on various boards and committees such as the Susan G. Komen of Phoenix Board of Directors ; Arizona Coalition on Adolescent Pregnancy and Parenting, YMCA Achiever’s Program Steering Committee, Arizona Town Hall Board of Directors, Valley Forward, honored as one of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s “AZ’s Finest” and member of the Friend’s of the Phoenix Public Library board. Kim was a member or the board and executive committee for Arizona Town Hall and subsequently became a lifetime member of the organization. Kimulet is a Flinn-Brown Civic Leadership Academy Fellow. The Flinn-Brown Civic Leadership Academy is intended to help expand the cadre of future state leaders with the skills to address Arizona’s long-term issues.
